Lea and Lucia both have good reason to leave the city of Buenos Aires. They take the direction of the sea where they come across an old run down sailing ship. In the wide open spaces of Patagonia, while dealing with their differences and their secrets, they learn to love without giving up their desire for freedom. La Llamada is a moving film and rightly presented by a strong pair of actresses: Sandra Ceccarelli, as a cold and restrained beauty, and Francesca Inaudi, a superb young rebel.
